Someone close to my has it and I don't really understand what it is so can u explain?

and can people live with a heart weakness and how risky is the operation and how risky is it to stay without an operation

  1. Well, it sounds like you are talking about CHF (congestive heart failure) That can be treated by meds. It's when your heart can't work properly and fluid backs up in your body and causes the heart to work harder.....and so on and so on. You may also be talking about cardiomegaly.....That' the enlargement of your heart. Your heart is a big muscle.....if it doesn't work properly, your vital organs don't get the oxygenated blood they need. Open heart surgery is for blockages in your heart that are caused by fatty deposits, or cholesterol. Open heart surgery and "bypass" surgery are the same thing. Neither of the above conditions warrants open heart surgery. Hope this helps!
