  1. no.  the melting point of wax ranges between 120-150 deg F

Olive oil or mineral oil drops in your ear for several days will help soften and dissolve the wax.  Do it at bedtime, and put a wad of cotton in after the oil to prevent staining your pillow case

There are OTC products such as Cerumen-Ex (Cerumen is the doctor word for earwax) that work ok, but can be irritating (Ear-itating?)

Peroxide doesn't dissolve the wax...it does bubble which may dislodge wax if it isn't stuck too strongly

"Candling" is a useless treatment that does absolutely nothing, and people have had burns and perforated eardrums from it.

Lastly, the old standby is flushing it out with warm water, using a gadget called an ear syringe at your doctors office.

  2. I doubt it, but heres sure-fire way to get rid of it.  First, take the cotton off of a Q-tip, and use that skinny stick to make a little hole in the wax.  Now tilt your head to the side and insert a candle wick into the hole.  Light the wick and when the flame goes out, the wax will be gone.

When you stop laughing, here's the real way to do it. Go to your local drug store and look for an earwax kit.  It basically just consists of some liquid stuff.  You insert a couple of drops into your ear and (really do this time) tilt your head to the side.  After about 5 minutes, take the the syringe/bulb that comes with it and fill it with lukewarm water.  Squirt it into the ear and the pesky wax should come out.  It may take a few squirts or even a few applications of the liquid, but the wax usually comes out.

If this still doesn't do it, then it is really in there good.  Any good doctor should be able to get it out for you.

  3. hyrdrogen perxoide with melt it and get it out...it bubbles in your ear and makes poppy sounds...heres what do do, lay on your side, put about a cap full in...lay till it quits popping...then, have a napkin, toilet paper, cotten ball etc...then put that over your ear, then change side and let it flow out...it breaks up the wax, then q tip it.  It should help.  I have not that in a while...and in a weird way i enjoy it haha

  4. Most any health food store sells ear candles. About $2 each. They work great!
