Heat tolerance in cats?

I know that cats are a lot more tolerant of heat than humans but what is their safe limit?

Dont put your can in an oven. It wont live. if it is hot give it water.

Domesticated cats aren't substantially more heat tolerant.  Although all cats are descended from a sort of desert cat - that was thousands of years ago.  Today's cats have a thick fur coat on!  

Don't force your cat to be in the heat with no shade, and always provide fresh water.

I think it is about 5 degrees more than humans. So not that much more.
