  1. Next time you should get a sand bag, it's usually the most even throughout.

Buy some rubber from your hardware store and cut it to fit the inside of your bag. Cut several pieces and insert them into the bag to seperate the cloth inside the bag so that you will have several layers of "cloth, rubber, cloth, rubber, etc". That should stop it from being heavy at the bottom.

Make sure the rubber isn't too rigid or soft.

If you have a really big bag thats sitting on the floor, buying a chain and swivel will only increase the problem.

  2. Try Stand Bag

  3. a heavy bag doesn't last forever. sounds like your bag is past its time and it is time to get a new one. try going to craigslist.org in your area. a lot of times people will be willing to give away or sell something for really cheap as long as you pick it up from them. if nothing turns up you can also try calling gyms and sking them if they have any older but still functioning heavy bags they can sell you. for a brand new one go to ringside.com or everlast.com

having your own heavy bag isn't that important. it would be far better to go to a boxing gym where you can use theirs plus their speed bag, double end bag, head hunter, upper-cut bag, etc... plus you cannot teach yourself to box you will only develop bad habbits that way

  4. ya need a more compact bag, get a new one
