Heeeeeeeeeelp! asian/japanese chicken wings?

awhile back i went to a sushi restaurant/sports bar in mexico (juarez) and they served these hot wings. they were a little sour and really hot...not like regular buffalo wings. they were served on bed of raw cabbage. i cant figure out how they were made. if anyone knows of it or a recipe similar...id really appreciate it.

It is a simple sauce . It is Chinese pepper sauce with lemon and lime juice added Then you serve them on a bed of fresh Boc Choy
