  1. It will do fine to protect you if it meets DOT and Snell safety standards. The more expensive helmet brands just have a better fit and finish.

  2. I finally bucked up and spent some money on a good helmet. I LOVE my Shoei

  3. I have a Fulmer full face that retailed for about 130 in my area got it for 65 when I worked on the dealer a little bit. I tried to get him to throw it in wit the bike but half off was the best I could do.

  4. The more expensive the shinier they are.

I have an HJC that I love. Got it for $70 on eBay because the seller bought it from an online dealer and decided it didn't fit his head. (If, with the helmet on and the strap fastened you can lift it off by pulling up at the back of your neck then it's too big. If you can't get it on it's too small.)

My brother bought a SHOEI. He and I both favor Japanese for most things, but his Japanese helmet suffers from a lot of wind noise, while my Chinese helmet is rather quiet. I paid $70, he paid well over $300.

    Both are DOT approved.

The really cheap c**p on eBay claims to be DOT approved but I really have my doubts. There's too much c**p sold on eBay that doesn't do what it claims, and you don't get a second chance with a motorcycle helmet.

If they don't sell the brand at a reputable dealer then don't consider it.

  5. Tong Ho Hsing (THH Helmet Company) is a Taiwanese owned & operated manufacturing company which has been making helmets since 1974.  They use "State-of-the-Art" processes and machines to manufacture and test their helmets.  They meet and exceed every major quality standard.  Needless to say, they are a good choice and your trust in buying their product is well placed.  Go Ahead !

  6. Buy a helmet that fits comfortably and that you like the look of. Just make sure it's Snell and DOT certified. You don't have to spend a fortune on your helmet, I have an HJC that fits me better than the more expensive brands did.

Don't just pick one out of a catalog or online though, make sure you try it on before you buy. The wrong size helmet will slide around or give you a headache.

  7. make sure it is snell/dot approved

here are some good brands from least~most expensive

    HJC

    ICON

    AGV

    SHOEI

    ARAI

    SUOMY

  8. the rule with helmets is, how much do u belive your head is worth, ive never heard of thh but i would recomend arai or shoei, they are the best out there, the more expensive the more protective they are. hope this helped
