Help! If you use contacts.....?

Question

Don't mean to sound like those urgent, desperate people...but, a few hours ago (roughly 6) my right eye started to haze over a little. It's not visible to others, but my vision became kind of hazy in that eye. I use contacts and am guilty of sleeping in them overnight, like i'm not supposed to... So, i thought that something might have gotten in my eye and that was it. So i took them out, cleaned them off, went about 30 minutes without them, then put them back in. It's still a little hazy, but now it's also itchy. In the bottom right corner of my right eye, it's turning a little red. Maybe because i've scratched at it a little, maybe because of other reasons... So i have a few questions...

1. Do you think that my eye is infected?

2. Can you use the solution you leave your contacts in overnight as eye drops? Like, if your eye feels kind of dry, can you just give it a drop or two of the solution to make it feel better?

I just got contacts... And i was told NOT to ever wear them over night.. You should keep your contacts out they could be dirty, and need to be cleaned or you need to replace them...  They have drops made by Optifree for dryness.. You just put them in your eyes... You may want to call your eye doctor..

I don't think it's infected, it's probably just dry from sleeping in your contacts. Take your contacts out and give it a little while(an hour at the most) , but if it doesn't get better you should probably make a doctors appointment. And yes, you can use the contact solution as eye drops, it won't hurt you or anything, but they won't  work as well as real eye drops would. I've had this happen to me too, but if I take out my contacts and wait a bit my vision has always gone back to normal.
