Help!! Laundry trouble!?

Okay, so my highschool requires that we wear a uniform. i have no problem with that. the only problem i have is the laundry. my pants shrink in the wash everytime i put them in! i always end up with really short and tight fitting pants and these pants arent cheap to replace over and over. is there a way to wash them properly?

Do not launder.  Wear them until they are cruddy enough to throw away.  In some cases, the dirt can just be scraped off with a table knife, or if it's really caked on hard, you can often break it up by whacking it with a hammer.  If they complain about the crummy condition of your clothes, just tell them the uniforms were their idea, not yours.

You really should follow what the label says.  If there is no label, a blend like that I would wash in cold and either dry on low or hang to dry.  Blends like that will shrink if the drying heat is too high.

I would contact your supplier.

If it is the school let them know of the problem.

Cold water gentle cycle and air dry is all I can come up with reading the materials you describe.

Who is the maker?

There could be a recall on your pants.

usually there is at least a 3% shrinking in most clothing if it has not been preshrunk before pattern and manufacturing.

Who is making your product. I would get a refund.

There is nothing you can do once they are shrunk. Heat is the problem. Since most brand name detergents work well with cold water you should wash only in cold water and use non chlorine bleach for stains. Use a low heat setting for knits in the dryer. The other solution would be to try and figure what size larger you would need if you shrunk them intentionally before the first time you wear them.

cold water wash only. and hang them up to dry. The heat from the dryer is ruining them.

what does the tag inside your pants say about how to wash them???

also cold water is useful to stop clothes from shrinking...never put them in a dryer, instead  hang dry... and if you still notice shrinking try hand washing... its a pain in the a$$ but it saves you in the long run
