Help!!! Please?

My 3 year old cockatiel, Latrell, followed my dog (he's obsessed with her) outside. He flew into the woods and I don't know how I'm going to find him. I tied my dog out there for an hour hoping that he'd come, and I stuck his cage in the yard. Then I heard him say my dog's name and it was coming from the swamp. I walked all the way around there with my dog and he didn't make anymore noise. What else can I do??? There's just so much woods around my house and so many other wild birds chirping I'm not sure if I'll be able to find him!! What else can I do??? Any ideas??? =*[

The same thing happened to me at my house. My bird kept flying from tree to tree saying his name over and over again until I lost sight of him and I never saw him again. This happened about 3 years ago. After a few months I just assumed that he was dead. When he first flew outside I did the same and put his cage outside on top of the car because he always liked to be in the higher places of our house but I had no luck.

I hope he comes back for you.

All I can really say is that keep trying what you're doing. Sinse you said it's happened more that once, there is a possibilty that he will come back.

try putting some food out or call the birds name. get the dog to bark.
