my boyfriend just filled my mercedes to the brim with regular unleaded into my Mercedes C230K, when i was told to only use super unleaded into my car. will that do any damage to my car?

i mean, do i need to get all that gas out, or can i just put an octane booster to undo what he did? and i don't know if this matters, but i live in southern california, and i heard the gas here is up to a diff standard than other parts of the country...please help!

  1. Drive with easy on the gas pedal. After 1/3 of the tank - fill it with high octane again. Sensors will show this, but no damage should occur for one-time, if car never overheated.

  2. ur ok girlfriend, just make sure u let his asssss kno.

  3. Your car will "adjust" and you'll not even notice the difference, BUT do not do it again. One time is OK. It's not OK to do it all the time. Do not worry about it.

  4. Although I am more familiar with Lexus and Audi all high end cars require high octane to perform at high standards. Todays cars are able to adjust there own timing to prevent octane ping( a tapping sound in the engine at idle or hard exceleration, which over a long periond of time can damage your engine) I'm sure you're car will be fine as long as there is no octane ping (there shouldn't be) At most you'll suffer poor fuel economy and performance. The octane boost may help give you peice of mind but is not necessary unless you here octane ping. In my humble opinion :)
