I just went through my storage and found a video camera that use to be my granpas when he was alive, and saw there was a few video cassetes that had my name of it which is fottage of me when i was a little kid. Is there anyway i can convert the video cassetes to dvd so i can watch it on my dvd player

Most likely. What model camcorder is it?

If it is that old - and uses VHS, VHS-C, Hi8 or someo other analog tape format, you will need to get a DVD burner with analog-in capabilities.
