Help! WEt tail!?

Question

I'm sorry i was so ignorant in my last question but it turns out my gerbil does have wet tail i can get the oasis drops or tablets, but i have two gerbils, will it hurt if my other gerbil drinks the same water? + my gerbil doesnt drink out of the water bottle anyways because he is just recovering, how will i be able to give it to him? The vets are closed so i cant go in but i called him about it. Do i have to isolate the sick one in a different tank? PlEEEZ help soon!!!!!!!!!!!

ok ok.. you do have to put them in 2 seperate cages for wet tail is very contagious .. when your gerbil recovers clean their cage realllllly good.. petsores like petsmart and petco hav dry tail medication that you can use.. for the water bottle thing get 2 one for the seprate cage.. als go to the vet to get the other one checked as well so you can prevent it from happeing.. im sorry to hear about your gerbils hopefully this helps..? good luck ill b thinking of you and your gerbils

yes isolate the healthy one from the sick one wet tail is very contagious but just to be safe put the wet tail medicine in the healthy ones water. if it is starting to catch the disease the medicine may help it. if your gerbil is not drink get a tiny dropper and pour it in it's mouth.

You should put the two hamsters in seperate cages so that you can feed your sick gerbil. Hope your gerbils gonna be okay!

Wet tail is a symptom, not a disease. You need to find out what the real problem is. If it is tyzzer's disease your gerbils are as good as gone.

frist sperate the sick one from the other one then give them both dri tial. i can help wet tial get better and help prevent wet tial from happing to the other one
