I'm going to be a freshman in high school and I'm so nervous!

I'm not nervous about my classes cause i know atlest one person in all of them and i have 3 classes with my bestfriend! but im nervous about the people, like how should i act? like i know i wont act like an idiot but i mean should i just smile and be nice to everyone?

One more question what should i do at lunch if i cant find anyone i know? like i dont want to sit alone because that's just weird but i dont want to be hanging around the people i knew from elementary school cause im sure they want to make new friends too.

Help!

thanks! :|

  1. smile relax have fun

  2. Hahaha! Prepare for the worst day of your life! Jk. Don't worry about it. Be yourself! I was a freshmen last year and the worst part of it was the worrying. Nothing bad happened (just a few comments here and there). High school is way better than middle (more freedom). You will have an even easier time than I had though because all the upperclassmen want to be nice and go out with the freshmen girls. Have fun and good luck!

  3. Just relax and be yourself.

  4. Hey hun. I'm a junior in high school and let me tell you, you're stressing WAY too much over this. :)

I suppose it's nerve wracking to start something that seems so big but when it comes down to it, it's just school. Nothing has changed from when you were in middle school everything is just BIGGER now.

Just be yourself. And it is good advice to be nice to everyone. I don't mean be OVERLY happy and everything, but be yourself. Being nice to people may lead to meeting a new friend to sit with if you're alone at lunch.

I've moved to a new school 6 times and the best advice I can give you is that your best friend is the person you haven't met yet. You'll meet great people and create good memories.

Don't stress over highschool. It will be over and then there's no going back.

  5. just be your friendly self :)

and as for sitting places at lunch, just sit with the friends you hung out with in middle and elementary school, because they are probably having the same concerns. trust me, you will naturally branch out from eachother and start joining friends that you fit in with and have things in common with, but for the first few weeks, its ok to stay in your comfort zone a little bit. or you and your best friend could plan to meet somewhere, like on the first floor bathroom, ect., and then the two of you can find people to sit with. thats what i did, and dont worry, i have made a TON of new friends with activities and stuff, but its ok to sit with your old ones too.

    :)

    hope i helped!!

  6. it's cool, you don't have to be nervous.  it's not even a big deal at all. everyone is going to be just as scared as you, so just pretend that you're confident and everyone will think that you are, even if you don't think so.

  7. Lol. No reason to be everyone is so busy they just ignore you. I admit my freshmen year sucked mostly because i missed alot of days and lost credit. High skewl is liek middle school just harder work.
