Help cds dont play?

Question

ok i just bought a new radio like two days ago and set it up all the wires r hooked up and everything. i turned it on and the radio works sounds comes throught the speakers. when i put a cd into the deck sayes it is playing it but there is no sound comeing through the speakers. it was not a burnt cd either

Your problem is that you have a factory amplified car, and you have your power antenna wire hooked up to the factory amp turn on. Take a look at the radio, you have a blue wire (power antenna), and a blue wire with a white strip (amp turn on). cut the blue wire, and use the blue with the white strip wire instead, to whatever wire you had the blue wire going to. That's it, and you will be fine.
