Help children inventions???????

My son is in grade one he needs to come up with an invention that might make his life a little easier.We have busted our heads to think of anything and come up with nothing.Any ideas,websites,anything that might be helpful.

Interesting. You should write down a list of everything he does on a normal day, for example

Alarm goes off

Wake up

Get out of bed

Have a shower

Brush teeth

Put uniform on

Get packed lunch

Walk to bus stop

etc.

Then try to write five ways to make it easier to do each step. Doesn't matter if they are ridiculous, but you have to write five. For example, Brush Teeth could be improved by:

- get a better brush

- use two brushes at the same time

- have a timer to make sure you brush for optimal time

- use more toothpaste

- brush your teeth and comb your hair at the same time

now some of those ideas are silly, but this activity stimulates the right part of the brain and you can find ideas you wouldn't normally think of. You might write something silly down, but then see just how you can change the silly activity into one that can really help.
