Help finding an agency?!?

I am in Portland Oregon. And I really love to act. IS there acy good agency's that are NOT a scam. Some thing that will help me. Tell me how you know it is not a scam. Thanx!

Best way to know for sure its not a scam is to know someone personally who is represented by that agency.

Have you done any acting work in Portland? If not, you're going to want to start by getting involved in your school and local community theatres.

From there, build up your resume and make as many contacts as possible.

Start talking to other actors and ask if they have an agent and if they know if they are taking on new clients.

If so, you could submit your headshot and resume and hope they call you in for an interview.
