my parents were the first to come to the USA, I want to find out more about my last name, Hamadeh, I know Hamade without the H is a British surname, not sure if their related. but I've tried countless times on google, cant get many things. Parents are from Syria btw, which probably makes it harder to find out about genealogy.

if you have suggestions please suggest thanks

  1. Your name was probably changed to be more Americanized. I think Hamade is related to Hamadeh.

  2. Maybe if you put this in the language section, someone might be able to help you.  Or even the travel section--you might find someone from Syria who would know.

    Good luck on your search.

  3. These are all I could find but I think it most likely that Hamadeh is simply a variant spelling of the same origin.

Muslim: from an adjectival derivative of Hamad.

    PLEASE NOTE !!!

Hamade is not a British name, I can find only about 12 in the whole of Britain, all living in or near London, with names like Fouad, Hamadan and Mohammed, so they are clearly of Arabic origin.
