is this a scam its a place that hires movie extras , 1-800-340-8404 .... extension 2301

I am sure http://www.entertainmentwork.com/home_pa... is looking to make money.  If your looking to be an extra in a movie in your area, I am sure the site is a good thing.  Would they be allowed to do this if they scammed you?  Probably not for very long.  

I am thinking that there would be other free ways to find out inforation like this though!

These same outfits spam the heck out of craigslist.com

These scammers expect you to pay to play which is never done in the real world of film and television.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

If you live in a city where movies and commercials are shot, like Seattle, there are legit resources for getting background work.  Many large cities have small film communities that look for background people.  But most of these "jobs" are done for glory, not money.  Do it for FUN only.  Unless you are in Los Angeles or New York, you will NOT make a living doing this sort of work.

If there is a company name that goes along with that phone number, it would be a lot more helpful in answering you.
