  6. D...this era was during the industrial revolution which contributed to the crowded urban areas. without a reliable mode of transportation the workers were forced to live near to the factories and places where they worked

    Just kidding! Open a book and try to learn rather than ask everyone to do your work. It may come in handy to learn how history effects you now or will effect you later.

         earned about $1250 a year. There work week was about

          56 hours a week. NO BEBEFITS WERE GIVEN BY

          THEIR EMPLOYERS.

        Thetmother and father both had to work in order for the

         family to live. The kids as soon as they were 5-6 years old

         were expected to work. School was NOT mandatory.

    Most folks probably farmed in them days and lived in the countryside and rode horses to town to do trading, they probably farmed for free rental barn houses.

  19. D.  should be correct.  In the future it is also good to know what country you are refering to.  The 1800's condition for the working poor differ greatly between under developed and developed countries.

  20. D. it was much eaiser to live close to where the worked and they really couldent afford much better. it was also better for the builders to build the tenements cramped together so they could get the biggest profit

    A is wrong because American wages would not really increase until increased power and presence of labor unions in combination with some government attempts (not much) to help wages.

    B is wrong because as urbanization increased, the poor would be stuck in the decaying center of town.

    C is wrong because it is a really bad throwaway answer that does not even make sense.
