1.4x + 5.02 = 0.4x

subtract .4x from both sides  and you will get

1x + 5.02 = 0

subtract 5.02 from both sides and you will get

X  =  -5.02

Minus 1.4x on both sides

5.02=-1x

-5.02=1x

x= -5.02
