Help on engraving machines!?

Question

What are the different types of engraving machines? And say i wanted to write names, etc on silver jewelry like rings, pendants and whatnot, what graving machine would i be looking for that's both cheap, yet effective.

In addition, which ones let me engrave pictures on them? thanks!

Good luck on your search, I used to manage a jewelry store and search them, there isn't enough business available to afford any of the four types of machines you would need. Even a computer liked for O.D., I.D. or radial and flat, you would have to corner the engraving business to make money.
