I am trying (and failing) to get out old spit up stains from my first child's clothes so I can reuse them again this time. Any tips?

  1. Put some lemon juice on them and place in the sun. The lemon juice will take the stains out. Wash with an enzyme detergent like Gain.

  2. Try the usual ways like white vinegar and salt or lemon juice and salt..add alittle laundry soap and scrub with a toothbrush. If that fails go to the grocery store and get Carbona Stain Devils the #7 formula. http://www.carbona.com/index.asp?PageAct...

  3. I'm assuming that you've already tried typical stain removers.  If not, try one of them first, (like Shout) and let it dry completely on the stains before washing.  If you've already done that, try using Dawn dishwashing soap and salt.  Scrub the stains with this "paste" using an old toothbrush.  Let it sit overnight, then wash.  This may work.  It's definitely good for removing old oil stains from clothing...so it may work for spit up.

  4. Did you try Spray & Wash, that stuff has always worked for me, spray it on, and rub it, then wash it in cold water, I hope this helps!!
