I have this thing at school where I have to dress up as if im from the 1940s.

Can someone give me some tips on what was 1940s fashion and also if someone can give suggestions on some flowly skirts (my teacher said flowy skirts were in style) from stores such as forever 21, target,..nothing to expensive..less than $30.

  1. Sorry, you wont be likely to find anything similar to that era in most stores. Big shoulder pads, matte red lip stick, victory rolls for your hair and platform shoes. It's very easy to find web sites that give descriptions and photos. Your teacher is only partially right about the flowy skirts.

Those were the main types of skirts.

Pencil skirts are really, really in right now.

Things like that... very easy to find.

That one is SUPER cute though, I reccomend that one with a nice flowy top, and some black or red pumps.

Like a top like this -

That's the basic look. A very red lip, and dramatic hair. Think Marilyn Monroe.
