Help with Hypnosis Induction?

Question

I have plenty of hypnosis and pariliminal tapes and i believe in everything about ability to change thoughts through your subconcious mind but it never seems to work for me for i cant never go into a trance. is there anything i could do to make going into a trance easy and do you think that even though im not going into a trance is my subconcious slowly changing while listening to the tape and if is how long will it take for me to notice a change.

I agree with Shamen, your expectations are getting in the way.

Tapes etc are ok, but if you have any subconscious block then they simply will not work which is where an experienced real life Hypnotherapist comes in handy.

Are you physically relaxed? do you wait for this illusive feeling? check both of these because there are varying states of hypnosis, all are valid.

I think the problem is you have a misconception of what the "trance" is like....  What it feels like to be in a "trance".

You're subconscious is always paying attention and accepting information.  However, the question is are YOU believing what information you are trying to use for change.  

Let me put it this way....  Just because someone is under hypnosis, it doesn't mean they will believe or accept everything they are told.  IF their mind resists the suggestion because of more deeply rooted beliefs, it just won't take.  

It all comes down to this....  Is the new belief set "believable" in your mind?  If so, it won't matter if you go into a "deep trance" or simply listen to the recordings in a "waking state".  As your mind incorporates the new ideas into your thoughts and psyche, change will take place.  

And it may happen slowly over time or it may seem to be instantaneous (overnight).  It all depends on how willing your inner self is to accept the new beliefs.
