Help with Volvo s60 2002?

The battery went dead recently, so I changed it for a new one. The day after all went well. Then the next day the panel started showing the symbols for the ABS, the BRake and the STC, plus it display the message "brake failure, stop safely". I changed the battery, thinking it was damaged for another one at the store. NOw it shows every symbol I just said plus the one that says CHEck Engine. It has been a few days. I don't think is the brake system, because it all started with the change of the battery.

Have the charging system checked, sounds like a bad alternator to me, if the alternator is not charging the controller for the ABS and engine will set a fault code
