Help with Windows update?

When I try to go to windows update page it tells me the following

This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems only.

To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/.

even though I use windows. This problem usually happen. Why does it happen and what can i do?

What version of MS Windows are you using?

Is it a legitimate copy of Windows (as in you own the license)?

You might try this fix -

Looks like your machine is sending confusing information to MS!

Are you running windows on a mac?

If not try clearing out internet explorer.
