Help with a snowboard?

Question

I am looking to buy a snowboard, binding, and boots. I am a 21 year old male 6 feet & am 190 pounds I have been a few times but I am pretty much a novice. But I what something that is good quality and great for a novice. Any suggestions or sites that you have bought from and like their products. I can go up to $700-$850 for all.

E bay is good but they don't always come with warranties, especially if you buys second hand. Check out buysnow.com or the-house.com and they always have some good deals on last years models or end of line stuff.

Buying new means that you get a manufacturers warranty which is important, especially as snowboard gear gets beat up quick!! burton is really good for warranty as long as you keep you proof of purchase.

Go for a board that is up to your chin or just below and has a soft flex pattern. this will give you more maneuverability and you'll improve easier.

Although some people like flow I personally dont like them. they often take alot of tweaking to get the fit just right and they often dont give the response that normal two strap ratchet binding do.

Awesome dude. You are getting into a great sport. The first board that comes to mind is the Palmer P-Line 162. This is an excellent beginner to intermediate board that is very easy to ride but will still last you forever. If your feet are larger than 11 US, the P-Line will be too narrow and you will have to get a wide board. In this case, I would recommend the Ride Fleetwood 161. Boots are very difficult to recommend online because everybody has a different foot. Try some on in a local shop first so you know what to look for online. If you dont have time to do that, Burton makes a pretty universal fit as does Salomon.

You will easily be able to stay way under your budget. Use that extra money for a season pass and have some fun dude. Hopefully that helps!

ok bro, e-bay has sick deals and they are reliable.

I am 18 and i have been riding since i was like 8 or 9 and e-bay has never let me down.

As far as equipment goes i swear by Flow bindings. they are fast, easy, high performance, and not to pricey. they are a hybrid between step-in's and ratchet bindings, so you don't need special boots.

Next your board is all about your style. for beginner and novice i recommend Burton. check out there website to get your perfect board.

Boots by DC, Burton, Flow, and anyone else are all the same. at this point it's all about how they fit. make sure you try on a lot of boots so you find your best fit.
