Help with advertising my website?

I've made a website where people can post their homework questions and/or answer them, and also post different sites that might be helpful like 123helpme.com (free essays), of netlibrary.com (free ebooks & audiobook downloads). its a free community site so I don't want to spend anything on advertisments but I need to get more members -- there's not anything on the site yet, or many members -- so I want to make my website more well known and I need more traffic and more members -- so if y'all could suggest anything to get me more traffic and/or more members that would be great! :) thanks -- my website is homeworkqa.com/forum -- don't go to homeworkqa.com yet 'cause i haven't done anything on it yet -- thanks

http://www.sellit-right.com has Biz section go there to advertise -now thats online.

Offline encourage ppl you know to promote you using flyers.

TIP: You never know where potential buyers will come from; so advertise where you can. Be it an empty or packed ad service. Your job is to sell the product or service- the services are there to help you do that. Take advantage of offers ad’ services are providing especially if they help to maximize the viewing of your ad(s) and increase sales. Keep coming back to the sites you advertise on and change your selling techniques from time to time to reach different buyers.
