Help with fundraiser for a funeral?

Question

We are wanting to help raise money to help a friends family pay for his funeral as he did not have any insurance. We are wanting to have a Truck and Heavy Equipment car show and open a food/ refreshment stand too. We were going to charge an admission and then the sales from the food. Our question is that would be ok to take what money we spent of the food supplies out of the proceeds as we don't have that kind of money to spend on it. This will be our first fundraiser and we really need some advice. Thank you so much.

You all  will be richly Blessed by giving it all to the family,  and it will be very successful. When you come out of one pocket God will be  filling up the other pocket. No I would not take or want any money back that i would contribute.
