Help with golf clubs?

I'm just getting started with golf and I wanted to purchase my first driver. I just want a nice beginning club and it doesn't need to be brand new and preferably not ridiculously expensive.

Thanks.

  1. See here for the 2008 club test results from the two leading golf publications.

    Golf Digest:

    Golf Magazine:

At these sites you’ll be able to explore a wealth of valuable information and make an informed decision about which club is best for your game.

    Good Luck!

  2. I suggest going on ebay and looking for a 10.5 degree Callaway FT-3 driver, look for a standard Callaway shaft, (regular) and then make sure its a NEUTRAL bais though.

Either that or by the Taylormade Burner, Brand new costs around, $299

    Read about it below

  3. Callaway would be my personal choice and I highly recommend them.

  4. Play it Again Sports.

  5. TRY A PRE-OWNED CALAWAY HYPER-X TOUR DRIVER.

  6. Go to your local course and try some of their demo drivers.  Most good courses that sell clubs will carry a wide variety of drivers for folks to try out.  Once you've found what you like, try e-bay to see if you can buy one online.   If you can wait until late in the season, courses often will sell their demos or rental clubs as well.

  7. go to callaway pre owned golf clubs

  8. Check http://www.globalgolf.com/ for a used driver.  They also have an article on buying your first set of clubs http://www.globalgolf.com/golf-articles/...
