I have a indoor palm that needs more light than it's currently getting. I just bought a tube grow light for plants from wal mart. My palm needs medium light, so how long should i leave the light on it? and how close or far away should the light be?

  1. If artificial light is the main or only source of light for plants, the lamps should be lit 12 to 14 hours per day and be 6 to 12 inches from plants. Blooming plants will require up to 16 hours and should be no more than 4-6 inches away from lights. It is important that some indoor plants have a regular light/dark schedule.

I hope this is what you were looking for.
