How do I import ALL the songs in my library to an external hard drive? I just got a new lap top and would like to add all my old songs to the itunes on the new laptop via the external hard drive. Will I have to located every single song on my old computer and export it to the hard drive 1 by 1? I surely hope there is an easier way.

THANKS!

  1. You can export the itunes music to other hard drive but you should remove drm protection.

After convert the itunes music, you can put the music anywhere as you like.

To convert drm music I use Aimersoft AlMedia Converter, it's professional DRM remover to convert DRM locked audio & video files to common formats for iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune, Creative Zen, Archos, etc.

  2. You have an itunes folder in your computer.  If it's a mac it should be in the music folder, on PC's I think it's in the program files folder?  Of maybe music folder with new windows versions...

anyway, just click hold and drag the itunes folder to your external hard drive that shows on the desktop.

  3. Lucky for you, Apple thought of just this scenario.

Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
