Help with middle names! ?

Question

We've decided on the name Gianna (GEE-an-ah) for our baby girl

But when it comes to middle names, we're finding it really hard to decide

We both want to give her a middle name that means something, not just a filler.

So, we thought of Deanne after my mother.

Does Gianna Deanne clash? especially with the 'ann' in both names

I do think they clash a little. How about shortening her name... Gianna Dea.. or taking your mothers middle name.

Maybe try something that's not similar.

I think that gianna paige is very cute,, that might be better for her growing up because shes older people might make fun of her first and middle being so much alike,,,buts it your choice

If you pronounce the first name (Gee-ahn-ah), then Deanne works perfectly with it, but if you insist on (Gee-an-ah), then that middle name definately clashes. In that case, go with Denae. It's a really pretty name as well, but I prefer Deanne, so consider changing the first name to (Gee-ahn-ah). Besides, I like the (ahn) way of pronouncing it better, anyways.

I think if Gianna is pronounced Gee-Ohn-Ah, then it sounds fine with Deanne.  Now, if it was Gianna Dianna, you'd have problems.  I think that especially with the meaning behind her middle name, it's a perfect fit.  :)
