Help with my formica counters....please!?

Question

I have formica counters (I am probably the only one left w/ formica counters!) The top part of the formica is separating and lifting up. Is there a special adhesive I should use to get them glued back down? I already tried the trusty ol' white glue and when it dried I can feel it's lumpy in the spots where I applied it.

evo stik contact adhesive use it with window or doors open as it smells strong can get you high (not suggested)

Contact cement will work well but you might have to clean out the lumps so it can have full contact.Read the instructions about application dry time also stack some heavy books or the like to keep it down till it sets.I have had better luck with the solvent type over the water based .vent well as other answer but also extinguish pilot lights if you have them. I hope this helps you out.
