Help with pc speakers?

I have these at the moment:

If I bought a proper Hi-fi would I get better sound. Something like this:

Or can anyone recommend a good receiver or amplifier.

Why dont you spend a little more and get the Z-5500.  Probably the best PC dedicated speakers out there.  Plus it has inputs for DVD players, etc.
