Help with pool its green

my pool is green everything is at a good level but it is getting greener how can i get it clear again please help!

Algae will always show up if there is no motion in the water...same happens to our pool if we do not swim for like 3 or 4 days, plus our pool is small, so the algae forms way quicker. just have someone take a swim everyday =P  also bleaching it always helps.

when i was a kid we use to have the same problem and my mother would dump a gallom of bleach in the pool and it woul clear it right up in a day or so.

I am have had the same problem with my pool also.

Try an Algaecide. Put it in at night and don't turn the filter on. In the morning all the algae should have settled to the bottom where you can vacuum it out!

Are you using a solar cover? If so..Limit your use on it as it heats the pool up and SUN can get through it where it creates algae if you use it too long!

Also..something I think is the problem why I am having algae problems is because I do not have a regular cover for my pool when it is not in use. They make a vinyl/woven cover that sunlight can't get through...That may be your problem also if you do not cover your pool when not in use.

SUN is a big problem with the greenish color in the pool.

You should use an algaecide once a week and the sun will basically take away the chemicals if you do not cover your pool when not in use.

If you don't cover it up you will have to use more algaecide, shock and chlorine more than normal because of the SUN.

I am learning from my mistakes the lasts couple of years with my pool that I was ready to tear down because it was hard to maintain...BUT..the more I am learning the easier it is getting!

i would suggest to get the whole in the middle to take out every thing then put the clorine and turn on the filter ok
