Help with subs?

I am getting a car soon and i need subs in it but i have no idea where to start or whats good or whats not. Im really not looking to spend over 300 on them though so any suggestions?

If you have only 300 to spend on a total system save your money. Because youll still have to get an amp the head unit and wiring kit.  All that will run you around $600 at least especially if you want good quality audio.

It actually depends on the type of car you will be purchasing. Let's just say your getting a regular car and not a hatchback or SUV. If your Budget is $300 dollars for your subs (not including anything else: like the head unit) I would suggest going with a pair 10 inch m**o's by Power Acoustik. The m**o's are 2400 watts peak and they have 270 oz magnet. These will undoubtedly give you the most bang for your buck. These Speakers hit really hard and are very durable. Depending on how much bass you really are craving, one may even be enough.

To go with these you should get a 1200 to 2000 watt Class D Amplifier that's 1ohm stable. Make sure your Amp is  a class D amp, there made just for your subs and run very cool. Now if you do end up with a Hatchback or SUV, you still get these same subs; just make sure you get a ported speaker-box.

For the complete system you can go with  the Power Acoustik pw312h 12 inch subs, a 2-channel 1200 watt class A/B amp  and a 8g Amp kit. All of this will run you under $300. And it will be a Quality system that will hit hard. Most off all it can be built upon; simply by adding another amp and sub. Now you have a competition style system.

300 bucks is a pretty tight budget. But, it's possible.

With your budget I'd look on ebay. If you don't mind waiting for the stuff to be shipped to you.

Just don't forget that you will need to buy at least a 4 gauge wiring kit. This may put you over your budget. But, not by much.
