"Mis padres son personas muy amables."

Is this right, even though padres is masculine, and personas is feminine, or should I say "Mis padres son muy amables"?

"Me enseñan a trabajar para las cosas que quiero."

Is this correct? I'll give 5 points to the person with the best answer. Thanks!

  2. Ok. Here i go for my 5 extra points ......LOL

"Mis padres son personas muy amables" mean the same of "Mis padres son muy amables", the only difference between both of them is that you are using in the first sentence an adjective: "personas". As "personas" means an individual from the human species you are making an emphasis on that, as well as they are your parents.

You can check this link for the meaning of "persona" (singular form of personas): http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/SrvltConsulta...

"Me enseñan a trabajar por las cosas que quiero" is in english "They teach me to work for the things that i want" and is is well written.

But if you wanna make it sound better, you should: "Ellos me enseñan a trabajar por las cosas que quiero"

The difference between both of them is that in the first one "Me enseñan..." you are not telling who is the person/persons teaching you. But when you say "Ellos me enseñan..." you are using a pronoun that means "they". In that way everybody will know you are talking/still talking about your parents.

As i see you like spanish here is the link for the official spanish dictionary "Real Academia Española". You just put the word -in spanish- in the above right box and you will have the definition of a spanish word. The link is: http://www.rae.es/rae.html

You have to remember that The Real Academia Española (“Royal Spanish Academy”), the RAE, is the official royal institution responsible for regulating the Spanish language. It is based in Madrid, Spain. If you really want to talk spanish in a proper way, you always have to check this dictionary.

Hope i will earn the points.....and hope this will help you.
