Hex nut striped!!!!!?

is there a tool of some sort that i can use to get a hex nut or any nut that is striped out. that i can like use on the nut to make it not striped out

Hack saw and replace nut and bolt or chisel,or torch to cut

Sear sells a damaged nut remover.  It is about $20.  Unless it is a hardened nut, you should be able to chisel it off of the bolt.  This isn't always possible if the nut is in a hard to reach location.  You could also try getting a vice grips on as tight as you can and wiggling the nut to try to break the bolt.

Hi. Sure there are. One is a nut splitter. You can also try to hammer it off, but it doesn't always work. There is a tool that I saw once on an infomercial that allowed you to drill the striped item and insert a s***w into the hole that then allowed you to remove the striped bolt/nut/s***w/etc. These sites provide good ideas as well....

Using a common file, file flat spots on opposite sides of the nut, then grab it tightly with a wrench (preferably vice grips) and turn.  Nut splitters and nut-busters are nice, but not worth the expense and a trip to the hardware store for just one nut, unless the file trick doesn't work.

It's cheaper just BUY a new nut.  Unless u want to spent $20-$40.

Yes if the nut is stripped you may be able to get it off by using a drill and just drill the hole through the center of the hex then replace it Good Luck
