Hey guy family problem please help

ok heres whats goin on i have lived with my mom for a year now but my ex step dad left her cuz he said that kids were to much for him to handle now im back in arkansas with my dad (visiting) and i kinda want to stay with him because my mom is single with 3 kids i am turning 15. 8/6/08 (not long from now) and i think it would be best if i stayed with my dad for a little while but she disagrees because she is staying with my ex ex step dad and his girlfriend with 20 dogs (1 is preg.) and 4 hourses (1 is preg.) now my dad he smokes pot yeah its bad but i dont care its just like smokin a lot of cancer sticks and he is married to his 2nd wife (my first and only step mom) and she has a 3 year old. school starts in 2 weeks and i need to know where i am goin to live please help me

p.s. i am the only one goin with my dad if i go (i have a real brother and sister too)

Technically your at the age in some states where you can choose which parent you would like to be with... On another hand you probably don't want either parent being upset at you for your decisions. Sit down and talk to both your parents. Tell them how you feel... wish you luck

Sounds to me... Your mother has Sole Custody of you and your dad has Visiting Rights. That would mean your dad would have to go to Court to try and get Custody of you! ( With or without your mothers agreement ! to do so .) But, I would strongly sudjest you talk this over with your father first, about this...If your dad agree's of having you live with him, then he can talk with your mom about it too ! You can sudjest this to your parents ( first ) "If you can living with your dad for one school year and see how it works out for you and your dad, then take it from their ! ( This part is between you and dad..If living with your father is everything you were hoping for then maybe he can try and get Custody of you then !)  BUT, yes there is a BUT! If things do not work out with you both at least you still have a home to go back to !
