Hi. SATs help.?

Question

Does anyone know when ks3 sats results come in?

Like what date do we get them?

& if you get level 7 in english.. does that put you in top set? even if you were in second set in year 9?

What set you get put in next year will all depend on what school you go to.

I got a level 7 in my english sats, but we had mixed sets for english.

But if you have top sets then I imagine your school should move you up if you get a L7!

I did mine last year maths and science come in earlyish, but english sometimes have to be remarked and dont come till august. If you get a level 7 in english you will almost certainly be put in set 1 becuase i was in set 2 and only had to get 6a to get in to set 1. =]

apparently we are supposed to get them at the end of this month but i doubt it, probs mid july but definately before end of year reports come out. cos the put em in there. your school decided what set your in by your tests and how well you did throughout the year. they dont jus rely on tests

If you got a level 7 for english then well done! Surely you'll be moved up to set 1 for getting a 7. I'm in set 1 for english, it's always been my best subject. My levels for english for the end of KS3 (recently moved to year 10, my school start year 10 early) were:

7 - Reading

8 - Oracy

7 - Writing

And overall I got a 7. I stayed in set 1, so as long as you've gotten 6 and above in the majority of your assesments this year then surely you'll be moved up! Well done!
