im 11 weeks pregnant cant find heart beat should i be worried

most midwives will not try and find the heartbeat till you around 16 weeks, and even then you can have a hard time finding it. 11 weeks is far too early, your uterus is still not past your pubic bone yet and picking up the teeny heart is very difficult.

if you are concerned about your baby, call your midwife for reassurance. but it is unlikely you will hear a heartbeat at 11 weeks on your own. scans are the best way to check at this stage, cos them you can see it.

Most midwives dont listen with a doppler until your around 16 weeks pregnant because theres a high chance they wont find it.  It takes an expert to find it at 11 weeks.  I can sometimes but not all the time.  Would only attempt it if the mum is slim.
