  1. the answer above mine ( about putting pressure on your ring finger, WORKS!) i just had the hiccups, and i have been having them multiple times today, and they just quit when i did that!

  2. Take a spoon full of grape jelly and put it in your mouth and let it disolve and they should go away or drink some water from the top side of the glass instead of the bottom with your head down its easy ier than it sounds

  3. I used to get the hiccups multiple times a day, too.  This guy at my former place of employment taught me the pressure point to for the diaphram, and it always works for me/ almost always works for people I've shown it to.  Under your left ring finger knuckle, where you finger tapers in after your knuckle is the place.  Firmly squeeze your finger there for at least one minuute and from the sides, not back to front.  If it doesn't work try doing it a bit longer or experimenting with more pressure or slightly different pressure placement.

  4. Dink something (kie soda) that will make you burp. Drink it slowly while holding your breath. Works for me.

  5. Hiccups can be caused by a number of different things

1.) Is changing your pattern of breathing. You want to try and breathe in a pattern. Don't breath in to much, or to little, but try to take in the same amount of air. Perhaps if you are having problems with this, than Yoga will help you out.

2.) Drinking to fast. If you drink to fast this causes hiccups a lot. Also, eating to fast.

3.) Stress has been known to cause Hiccups. Make sure you relax at times. Close your eyes. Take a few nice and steady breaths.

4.) Perhaps over excitment causes them

As for how to get rid of them, this method ALWAYS works for me.

Get a glass of water. Bend over, and drink from the opposite side of the glass normally would. Just take on sip. Swollow it, and remain in the bent down position for a few seconds. Stand back up, and repeat this a total of three times.

Peanut butter also helps stop them.
