High Anxiety Patient!!!!!! PLEASE ANSWER!!!

Question

I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and I am a high anxiety patient as they call us and I have to be put to sleep only thing is is that the dentist I have to go to doesnt do I.V. sedation but he gives the Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas). I am terrified of dentist because the last one I went to when he put the novacain in it didn't work and I felt everything but he didn't beleive me so now I am terrified. Any ideas as to what I can do to keep calm? If I bring my mp3 player and like one of those eye mask for when you sleep so I can't hear or see anything will that work and will they let me?

I know its alot but I really need the help! Thanks!

yeah, just switch dentists b/c he's obviously evil if he doesn't believe u. switch 2 someone that has a cool and relaxing environment, and would make u less nervous. just take deep breaths and use the medication that u have been perscribed and everything will b alright if you switch.

I too have dentist anxiety :/ The laughing gas will help your nerves once you are there (too bad they can't give us something days before when the worrying begins). I would bring music to listen to so that you do not hear the drills. That and just keep your eyes closed.
