Timolide 10/25 Discontinued what do I take now? My old Dr. Retired I found another Dr. who can not get my B.P. Regulated. What is the next best thing to the Timolide I was taking?

  1. I have never heard of that rx.  Sorry, I take hydrochlorathiazide for my BP, it works for me. I know others who take tinormin/atenolol.  Find a Cardiologist ASAP.  You need this under control.


  2. That would be up to your doctor. There are many drugs on the market that are useful for lowering BP. Lotensin, Norvasc, Metoprolol, HCTZ..........it depends what works for you. Good luck

  3. If Timolide was working well for you the new doc should be able to prescribe a similar product.  A beta blocker and a diuretic (the 2 types of meds in timolide) can also be taken separately if a combined product isnt available.
