Question:

High School Extracurriculars.?

I have been accepted to a college program where I am given a college id and I take one free course at the college. I am still in high school. Does joining extracurricular activities, clubs, at the campus help in any way for college apps. Does it weigh a little more than regular high school clubs? Thanks.

  1. Congratulations!  College admissions counselors do not care where you are involved in activities--whether at high school, college, community center, scout troop, non-profit organization, place of worship, and so forth--just as long as you are involved in extracurricular activities somewhere.  If a particular extracurricular organization on campus interests you, then certainly, go for it, and have fun.  However, it won't make any difference whether you join that organization or one at your high school.
