High School Metal Detectors!?

Question

Im starting High School tomorrow in school called Transit Tech IN New York. This school is in a black neighboorhood and im azn.... Will i get beat up i wonder??? Okay so my school dont allow cellphones and they have a metal scanner and a metal detector. By any chance can i bring my cellphone shutted off? Do anyone have like a school rule like mine and have scanners but still bring their cellphones?

i go 2 da same school im a junior...nd about da cellphone jus put it in one of those orbit gum boxes if its small enough nd carry it wit u in ur hand...or buy a bag of chips nd put it in there nd walk throught eatin da chips tho ur phone might get dirty or w.e

just wrap it in electrical tape and put it in ur pocket you will get through fine and if u get caught later on with the cell just say they let u in with it.
