Question:

High School Nordic Ski Etiquette?

So I had a nordic ski race today, and right before the finish as I was going up a hill, I wanted to pass this girl that was going slower than me. So I shouted on your left quite loudly about 3 times, but she didn't move. So I was right behind her trying to pass her, and she outstretches her arms really wide and trips me. I get up in about 15 seconds, so I lose quite a bit of time. I was pretty annoyed about it, but obviously I wasn't going to yell at her after the race or something. In the future, what should I do? Because I want to get the best possible time I can and I feel like that girl slowed me down. Oh and by the way, 15 seconds is a lot of time in nordic skiing. It doesn't sound like it would, but times are very very close.

  1. I dont know but enjoy the star!

  2. Talk to the race marshals / organisers or your school coach for guidance on etiquette.  If you are sure she tripped you on purpose and that is against the rules, then report her to the race officials.
