High Speed Quad lift?

I am use to the regular ski lifts ( i am a snowboader) but im going to a different ski resort next weekend, and they onlyhave high speed quad lifts. whats the deal on these? any difference on loading and unloading....oh, and what swith the restraining bars?

loading and unloading will be easier and its gonna be so much quicker getting up the mountain, the chairs might be close together tho sometimes if ur on the inside u will hit the chair infront of you but its nothing bad

A high speed or detachable chair lift is easier to load and unload, but faster to ride, so less time to get the girls' phone number. The chair will detach from the main lift cable at each end of the ride and move slower while you load and unload from it. The restraining bar is a safety factor for riders, it also gives you something to rest on.

Loading is the same.  The chairs come off the cable and slow down through the loading and unloading station.

Pull the safety bar down at the beginning and lift it up at the end.  Pretty simple.
