High ping help me! bad virus?

Question

I was surfing throught the internet and porntube popped up and i downloaded something in it....Im pretty sure some of u guys have done it too. its pretty tempting..>.> and it gave me a horrible virus. I was somehow able to recover my computer. But although i recovered it, it made my ping extremely high! It was usually always below 80. But now its in the 150~200. The worst part is that im a gamer so a high ping is very terrible for me. Please Help!!! i beg of you!

LOL p**n tube thats funny- as another user has already said the best way to get rid of all traces of the virus is to reformat your hard disk, you sound like the kind of guy who knows how to reformat a hard disk, just in case you aren't though you will prob have a recovery partition on your hard disk, to access it you will have to repeatedly press the F10 button whilst the computer boots up.

Well you might as well reformat your hard drive and reinstall all the software etc I know it's a pain in the butt but it the only way to get it fix and don't be clicking on popups nothing good comes from it as you can tell you got your self a virus shame on you.  You being a bad little boy and go places with out a grownup with you.

The best combination I have found so far is AVG free as anti-virus and SuperAntisyware for a malware detector cleaner.

Both are free and available for down load.

It sounds like you have not got everything cleaned up

should find any unwanted nastys for ya. Fiingers crossed its not a rootkit
